Companies like CISCO, Ericsson and U-Blox are going to showcase and demonstrate inteliLIGHT’s street lighting control solution using NB-IoT & LTE-M mobile communications during the event, 26 February – 1 March 2018.
Brasov, ROMANIA, February 20, 2018
The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is one of the most prominent such events worldwide, driving innovation for mobile communications for years. Thousands of mobile operators and innovators gather to share ideas and technologies that shape our future. With the support of global partners, Flashnet will showcase in Barcelona, between February 26-th and March 1-st, two of the LPWA communication technologies currently integrated by inteliLIGHT® streetlight control (NB-IoT and LTE-M).
inteliLIGHT® is a streetlight control solution that has pioneered the entire industry, being the first to integrate new, state of the art IoT communication technologies (like NB-IoT or LoRaWAN™) in their already proven lighting controllers. The very first NB-IoT compatible street lighting controller was launched by the company during the same MWC in 2017, in collaboration with Telekom.
NB-IoT is a narrowband radio technology specially designed for the Internet of Things (IoT) and already adopted by most large telecommunication companies. It connects devices more simply and efficiently on already established mobile networks, and handles small amounts of infrequent 2way data, with carrier-grade security and reliability. Special focus of this standard is on very low power consumption, excellent penetration coverage and lower component costs, deployed in GSM and LTE regulated frequencies.
“We believe we are the first communication technology agnostic streetlight control system, helping both implementation efficiency and operating reliability, while offering unprecedented flexibility for city managers. And we are honored that global companies like Cisco and Ericsson have chosen to showcase our streetlight control solution during MWC” said Mr. Lorand Mozes, CEO of FLASHNET – the company developing inteliLIGHT®.
Cisco already represents the standard approach to secure integrated communications throughout the world. As a part of their IoT integration and smart city initiative, Cisco has decided to promote and demonstrate inteliLIGHT® NB-IoT streetlight controllers during the event in Barcelona. You can find live demonstrations and further information in two of the company’s booths at MWC: Cisco IoT Booth – Hall 4 Stand 4A30 & NB-IoT Hall 4 Stand 4B1Ex – Innovation City
Global leader in mobile communication technology, Ericsson extends its Ecosystem focus with IoT communications and Smart City applications over mobile networks. As part of this commitment, inteliLIGHT NB-IoT will be showcased in Hall 2. Booth 2O60. It is a quite large area dedicated to the entire company (6000 m2), so we invite you to explore Ericsson’s innovative communication technologies and applications to find inteliLIGHT’s live demonstration.
U-Blox is one of the very first companies that started the NB-IoT chip production. A special InteliLIGHT® streetlight controller, compatible with both NB-IoT and LTE-M communication technologies, will be showcased during the Mobile IoT Summit, one day before the actual MWC event. During MWC, you can find U-Blox and inteliLIGHT® in one of their reserved meeting rooms 2C19MR, 2C15MR, 2C11MR in hall 2.
inteliLIGHT® is a smart street lighting control solution that offers detailed lamp-level management capabilities (ON/OFF, dimming, real-time reporting) over multiple IoT communication technologies. In-depth grid awareness is obtained through accurate utility-grade readings of any changes occurring along the grid, reducing energy loss and offering advanced maintenance optimization tools. Furthermore, inteliLIGHT® is integrated with Smart City management platforms and offers support for further Smart City development.. (www.inteliLIGHT.eu)
