Why was inteliLIGHT® streetlight control in the highlight during Bucharest Tech Week 2019?

FLASHNET’s unique street lighting control vision, presented by ENGIE, has been appreciated by visitors and media during the tech industry’s most prominent event of the year in Romania.

Brasov, ROMANIA, May 28, 2019

22.000 tech enthusiasts gathered in 24-26 May at the largest urban tech festival in Romania to interact with Smart City & IoT applications, electric vehicles, VR devices, Robots, 3D printers and all kinds of other cool tech stuff.

Most of the event visitors were focused on photovoltaic and passive solutions, therefore showing interest in zero-emissions streetlight solutions: smart street lighting fixture with a photovoltaic panel. Harvesting solar light with your luminaries and injecting the energy into the grid during the day, consuming energy from the grid at night. You can get close to zero energy costs for lighting the city, plus remote management for your street lighting system.

inteliLIGHT® is an open protocol, plug and play system with a very simple installation procedure over the existing network. inteliLIGHT® can be regarded as a modernization of the electricity grid; the system is compatible with existing streetlights, LEDs or renewable energy sources, without the need of infrastructure alterations. The system also serves as a backbone for future smart city applications (environmental, traffic and noise monitoring, traffic lights etc.).

Using open protocols helps inteliLIGHT stay flexible for future system upgrades and extensions. Furthermore, it is a reliable solution for industrial, logistics and even residential projects. During the fair, residential real estate developers and property management companies showed a more vibrant interest regarding potential energy savings with outdoor lighting, as it seems there is a keen interest regarding energy savings in this industry. And wherever there is outdoor lighting, inteliLIGHT, in conjuncture with LED fixtures, can bring up to 80% direct energy savings and significant benefits in long term maintenance.
