This autumn, Flashnet is answering all of these questions in the 2026 Streetlight Control Webinar Series, dedicated to multiple practical parts of planning, deploying and operating connected public lighting. The series is designed for municipalities, utilities, engineers, integrators, operators, procurement teams and smart-city professionals, with each session addressing a different stage of the journey.

Each webinar starts from a question that comes up when cities and utilities evaluate or expand a smart lighting system. 

For some participants, that may mean understanding how controls can be added to an existing LED network without starting again from scratch. For others, it may be deciding between connectivity technologies, protecting long-term flexibility through open standards, making sense of operational data, or understanding where the financial return comes from.  

Later sessions widen the perspective further, looking at how streetlight infrastructure can support additional sensors and connected services and what can be learned from smart lighting deployments across different regions and operating environments. 

The webinars are designed so participants can follow the full series or simply join the sessions most relevant to their role and current challenges. Every session includes a live Q&A with the Flashnet team and the attendance is completely free.
