Lucy Group Ltd is pleased to announce the acquisition, on 10th June 2022, of an 80% majority shareholding in Flashnet S.A., a specialist in the design, development and manufacture of smart lighting and smart city control systems.

Decreasing energy and maintenance costs, better grid awareness and faster repairs are some of the benefits that convinced a Greek town to upgrade its lighting network. Flashnet together with Sirecled responded to the lighting infrastructure needs of the town by installing a combination of inteliLIGHT individual lamp controllers and FRCM lighting cabinet controllers.

It is not the first time when one of the low countries gives its vote of confidence to Flashnet’s street lighting technology. Recently, in 2021, Flashnet’s smart lighting solution, has been nominated by Sibelga, among selected suppliers, for a contract in Brussels (Belgium) that will run for the next 10 years. Now it’s Netherlands’ turn to tackle urban challenges with inteliLIGHT.

In the latest SCEWC edition that took place in mid-November, over 14.000 professionals and more than 300 speakers, leaders and innovators from over 100 countries were present both online and in Barcelona to debate, compare, share ideas and experience technologies for a smarter and more sustainable world.

During the remote plugfest held in September 2021, Flashnet’s technical team was challenged to integrate with several other TALQ-certified smart city and smart street lighting solutions, to test the TALQ standard compliance, the interoperability approach of each company and the standard itself.

Most big cities think of smart lighting as a platform for their smart city ambitions. But what about the small towns that still want to reap all the benefits of smart street lighting? How can they use technology and data in a way that addresses their specific concerns influenced by local particularities? Several towns form Southern Italy have found the answer: inteliLIGHT FRCM lighting cabinet controllers.

Gheorgheni, a small town with great plans, decided to modernise the public street lighting system throughout the entire town with the main objectives of saving energy and ensuring the safety of its residents. And the inteliLIGHT smart street lighting solution that was chosen by Elba will aid the town in improving road safety and reduce energy loss by integrating sensors for pedestrian crossings.

Together with Saudi Delta Group, Flashnet installs a number of FRCMs in Dammam, an industrial area in Saudi Arabia, developed and supervised by Modon. The inteliLIGHT smart street lighting solution has proven the best way for the industrial area to gain awareness, smart autonomous lighting operation and energy savings.

After 10 years of a continuous and fruitful collaboration between Flashnet and Saudi Delta Co ., an additional number of 500 lighting panel control and monitoring units were installed in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
