The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is one of the most prominent such events worldwide, driving innovation for mobile communications for years. With the support of global partners, Flashnet will showcase in Barcelona, between February 26-th and March 1-st, two of the LPWA communication technologies currently integrated by inteliLIGHT® streetlight control (NB-IoT and LTE-M).

inteliLIGHT® is a streetlight control solution that has pioneered the entire industry, being the first to integrate new, state of the art IoT communication technologies (like NB-IoT or LoRaWAN™) in their already proven lighting controllers. The very first NB-IoT compatible street lighting controller was launched by the company during the same MWC in 2017, in collaboration with Telekom.

NB-IoT is a narrowband radio technology specially designed for the Internet of Things (IoT) and already adopted by most large telecommunication companies. It connects devices more simply and efficiently on already established mobile networks, and handles small amounts of infrequent 2way data, with carrier-grade security and reliability. Special focus of this standard is on very low power consumption, excellent penetration coverage and lower component costs, deployed in GSM and LTE regulated frequencies.

As part of this commitment, inteliLIGHT NB-IoT will be showcased in Hall 2. Booth 2O60. U-Blox is one of the very first companies that started the NB-IoT chip production. A special InteliLIGHT® streetlight controller, compatible with both NB-IoT and LTE-M communication technologies, will be showcased during the Mobile IoT Summit, one day before the actual MWC event.
