Clear objectives, applied conference conclusions, increased number of applications and LoRa™ worldwide expansion: just a few details of the most mature LoRa™ Alliance All Members Meeting yet.
The LoRa Alliance is growing fast and this fact is most visible from one members meeting to another. There were more than 350 members present in Munchen this summer, showing an incredible 10x growth since 2015. LoRaWAN™ coverage is fast expanding and there are more compatible devices than ever, ready to be tested and laying the foundation for countless ioT applications.
The conference showed a more practical and applied approach for all participating members. We were very glad to notice that the entire commitees activity has evolved from general discussions to more mature, applied technical debates and more decisive moves.
Also, the standardization and certification processes show significant progress and we are expecting more established results on these issues as the next important milestones. Furthermore, the new LoRa Alliance catalogue design and editing is going to be released soon. This printed presentation, that will showcase all available LoRaWAN™ products and services (gateways, network servers, devices and certification services) will be available by the end of the year and will help boost the worldwide understanding and adoption of the technology.
In addition, with more devices and applications being tested every month, we are hoping for a significant increase in LoRaWAN™ initiatives and implementations in the near future, including large scale inteliLIGHT® LoRa™ street lighting control projects.
