We are incredibly proud to announce that Flashnet has received the DALI Alliance Lighting Award 2026 for “Best Integration into Other Systems”, recognizing inteliLIGHT’s integration capabilities in the Washington, D.C. smart street lighting project.  

The award was presented during Light + Building 2026 in Frankfurt, one of the world’s most important events for lighting and electronic installations technologies. Organized by the DALI Alliance, the awards celebrate outstanding projects that demonstrate innovation, interoperability and real-world impact through DALI-based systems.

For Flashnet, this recognition confirms a direction we follow consistently: developing smart lighting solutions that integrate easily and efficiently into broader city ecosystems.

The Washington, D.C. Connected Street Lighting project represents one of the most ambitious smart lighting transformations in the United States. Through a long-term public-private partnership between the District of Columbia and the Plenary Infrastructure DC (PIDC) consortium, the city is modernizing its lighting network with 78,000 inteliLIGHT® controllers powered by DALI technology. 

The system introduces a new level of operational intelligence and energy efficiency across Washington’s public lighting grid. Adaptive dimming based on time and traffic conditions allows the city to optimize energy consumption while maintaining consistent illumination and improving safety. 

Equally important is the platform’s ability to integrate directly with existing maintenance and workforce management systems, enabling synchronized operations, real-time data sharing and streamlined workflows for city teams. 

This integration capability is precisely what the DALI Alliance recognized through the “Best Integration into Other Systems” Innovation Award, highlighting how interoperable smart lighting technologies can become part of a larger, connected urban infrastructure. 

This award, beyond the recognition of technological innovation, is also a celebration of the people behind it.
